experiment..a work in progress

In the opening statement made on Sept.18,2000 Administrator Browner said,,"Welcome to this experiment in public participation".

First of all, may I say to Administrator Browner, this process has indeed engaged the American people(myself included). One only needs to look at the map showing the geographic distribution of participants to confirm. Nearly every state has some representation. Additionally, the deep well of knowledge that is out there can only increase with a broader stroke approach in the future.

This experiment should be expanded to include the children of this Nation. We need to bring our children along the way in this process. If we are going to have true success. This is a practical application of the democratic process, with regards to the environment. This is government at its best. Something today's children don't often see,no less experience..."for the children shall inherit the earth"..i.e. locally a dedicated teacher from Middletown,N.Y. has demonstrated that process thru intervention and investigation. For decades,he has taught a class on the environment and thru the years his students have brought to light several environmental problems in our county. The EPA and its partners should welcome the opportunity to extend this to all children of our nation regardless of how differcult it might be. Just stop to think for a second the profound effect this could have for future generations.

Now onto how I demonstrate it in terms that I relate to and comment on. The experimental operation has been a success, the patient survived(on life support systems). However,he/she will need a long and through rehabilitation plan, with surgical intervention from time to time,if he/she is to continue to thrive.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible..you deserve that sense of accomplishment your feeling!
