Women and Minorities

While Social Security affects almost everyone in the country, there are some groups for which the impact of this program is greater. These include groups with lower employment rates and shorter working lives than the rest of the population. An awareness of this fact is an important background to portions of the debate on Social Security reform. Our panelists will address this issue and discuss features of the system which should be implemented to serve these groups adequately.

Our distinguished panelists are listed below. Click on any of the small pictures to obtain a biography of the panelist. Or go directly to read their position paper on the subject of Social Security reform. Please register to join the discussion, and participate actively beginning on May 24.
