This has happened to all of us and it is very frustrating especially when you're working under time constraints or with a patron. One thing I want to mention in general re Internet sources vs other sources of information is constraints put on students as to what sources of information they are allowed to use. I have had many a college and high school students doing an environmental report, speech, or research paper tell me their teacher will 1) not allow them to use the Internet (yikes) or 2)more frequently, they must have other sources of information besides just the Internet (i.e books, journal articles, etc. In our planning, we can't lose sight of "who is the public" and how are they going to be comfortable with, or in this scenario, required to access information. Believe me, the first time I heard a student tell me they weren't allowed or were limitied in how much of their info could come from the Net, I was stunned. But I can't tell you how many times, I've heard it since! So there's an argument for back up paper copies.
