I think that although there are suspicions regarding donations to candidates, we must proceed carefully. It's easy to say we need to solve the problem and come up with plans such as putting caps on donations and disclosing the names of the donors, but the plans themselves need to be considered more carefully. I think that each of the plans currently being proposed have merit and good intentions behind them, but we must also evaluate whether or not these plans are the best solutions and whether or not in the haste to find a solution we are overlooking other important aspects, such as protecting a citizen's right to privacy and their freedom to show support for a particular candidate.
