I truly believe that the policy is now "one donor, much influence." Unfortunately, money has always been a part of the system. From the Teapot Dome Scandal to Watergate, the truth is that in a capitalistic society, money rules. I believe it is imperative that Congress pass the McCain-Feingold bill; however, true reform will come when leaders from government, industry, etc., come together and make a conscious effort to truly serve the interests of the American people, and not of the American rich.
