Who we serve

I have taught in Adult and Continuing Education for about seven years.  I teach a job readiness course, including computer skills.  I know for a fact that many of my students are intimidated by a school environment.  Most would be uncomfortable venturing to a community college.  They come to use because we are accessible, comfortable and offer a wonderful alternative.  Some realize that school, even after many years of absence , is a gift they can give themselves. 
I have seen them blossom as their self esteem grows. Some in their later years finish high school, some then go on to work and some to college.
We have a special place that should not be swallowed by another entity. Adult Education is unique special and needs to be treated as such.
