Who's in Charge?

The Governance Working Group concluded that the current "system" is not working well.  Central to this position, was the perception that the current state governance structure is fragmented and often dysfunctional.  This structure overtime, has created a division in leadership and a void in accountability.

A change in governance for public education must restructure leadership at the state level so that broad education policy derives from a single, consistent source.
