Thank you, Frances Venn, for raising important aspects of a 
positive learning environment.  If students feel fearful, 
harrassed, demeaned, isolated, or inferior, it's unlikely 
they'll be excited about learning.  Would you?

Teaching people of all ages to respect, honor and value 
each other, and to work together collaboratively should be 
essential components of any master plan for education.

If respectful behavior is not consistently modeled by adults, 
young people will quickly detect and adapt to this hypocrisy.
