Graphical represenation of Clintions plan

Anyone courious what President's Clinton's plan looks like?

Here is the ending year balance for the following:
Green is the amount of money needed for OASI to be solvent One could say this is the unfunded liability in each year.

Purple is Clinton's plan

Yellow is the current cash flow.

In summary, saving a few trillion dollars does what? The unfunded liability is growing faster than the revenue stream and that is why in 2044 the unfunded liability is over $70 Trillion. Do we really want to call this a fix.

The only fix is to cut benefits NOW!

The rate of increase in the amount of money required to fund a longer retirement period decreases as you get past 20 years. It takes very little more to make it last a few more years. In fact once you get past 30, it is like perpetuality.

Raising the retirement age is not only a benefit cut, but is a tax increase.
