Re: Question on Charity


Charity would not be reliable, Charity is not a big part of the
average American heart.  Family would not be able to help because
most families do not have the financial capability I would favor
privatization if it were to be a mandatory thing for all Americans
to participate in.

I would favor lifting income barriers for retired people.  As to
present system the choice between lodging, medication or food
already exists, and some of us feel that it would be much better
to die than to live with the indignity of having to beg for help.

Charity would be a partial, temporary solution for some people but
there would be too many that would fall between the cracks of the
system. And charity does not do a good job of feeding even the
hungry children in this country. Leave alone old people that most
