civility please

I am shocked at some members of the dialogue that we are trying to
have.  The point, as I see it, is to share points of view, so that
some amount of consensus may be reached, or at least so that we
may all have a better idea of how opposing sides feel about the
issue.  Specifically, I would hope that we could all refrain from
name calling and personal insults.  We all did that when we were
in grade school, but the time has come to grow up and discuss things
civilly.  People can differ from you in opinion without being
"dishonest", "stupid", or any other derrogatory label.  I realize
that some of my postings may have seemed that way, and I apologize.
I was attempting to attack ideas, which I think is valid, but I
did not mean to attack individuals.  I think if we could all live
by those rules, this forum will be much more productive.
