RE: values underlying SS

Ms. Furia:

This country was based on individual rights. The only instance when the government has a right to compell a citizen to do anything is upon that individuals encroachment upon the rights of others. Our government is supposed to be republican not fascist. It is fascist-socialist states that compell citizens to do what is "good" for them. You know states like Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia and Italy under Il Duce. As an individual, law abiding citizen I am shocked that you would allow our government to compell me to do anything. Do you not think you have an obligation to preserve my right to choose what I will and will not do, so long as I do not force myself and/or my ideas upon another citizen?

Logic would indicate that so long as I obey the law of the land, the US Constitution, then you and the government have no right to compell me to do anything. That includes making me pay to help anyone, regardless of whether they deserve it or not. Social Security is a socialist concept, enforced through fascist means. Would you consider that Constitutional, right or American?
