Michael,
The stats are impressive.
When you consider the EPA Web site has tremendous name
recognition and is linked to from 10s of thousands of
sites from around the world, their ranking is understandable.
The EPA site is also "universal" for its topical coverage of the
environment from ALAR to zoos.
The other sites, focus on one or two specific aspects of the
environment: hazardous wastes and environmental health. Taking
into account subject limitations, those other numbers are rather
impressive, too!
