i'm moving a bit slow [it is Monday and desk duty did call].
i am the Regional Federal Depository Librarian for Louisiana State
University in Baton Rouge, LA. i have been a federal depository
librarian for 12 years -- and one part of my career i was the Head
Librarian for Robert S. Kerr Environment Research Library in Ada,
OK [now know as: Subsurface Protection and Remediation Division
Library of the National Risk Management Research Laboratory]....
i currently maintain LSU's U.S. Federal Government Agencies Directory
in a partnership with the Government Printing Office
<http://www.lib.lsu.edu/gov/fedgov.html>
i did attend the EPA Library Dialogue in Charlottesville, VA in
1998 during my tenure as Manager of Reference Services at the U.S.
Department of the Interior Library....
yes, i've been around: and in all libraries/patron groups, environment
information is always needed....i appreciate EPA providing this
and other avenues of input -- beginning with ACCESS EPA [the good
old fashioned paper version] to the web pages.
however, the appeal is not only to the high end [e.g., data user]
but to the low end [e.g., education] and practical [e.g., how do
i report an environmental violator?]
will now stop my ramble [and support Rob's rant re: Federal Depository
Libraries]
