If we demand that the TV networks carry something for the public
interest, that is not infringing on private property. There are
so few frequencies available that they can only operate with our
permission already, and they sometimes live in fear of having
this _priviledge_ revoked. They ought to be happy to show the
League of Women Voters debates anyway, since they are big news.

That reminds me, I like to joke that the League is the "most
efficient arm of the federal government", since I have so little
use for the uniformly low quality big media, I consider the LWV
to be almost the only source of voter information.
