* "restore political equality by imposing new restrictions on giving
- reduce the amount individuals can contribute, and eliminate
corporate and committee gifts to candidates and political organizations,"

There are very few people who can manage to still give impartial ear to those who do, or do not, give them large ammounts of money. They are the ones we *need* in office, but they are not usually the ones we get. If, however, there were no "big money" in the pocets of the politicians, they would not have so hard a time deciding who to give their time and attention to.

* "provide public funding for elections,"

I cannot think of a better use for a dollar (or three) of my tax funds.

* "provide free airtime to candidates."

Equal time for each candidate would lead to more focus on the individual candidate's giving us their own views, plans, stands, and intentions, than refuting, aruguing with and maligning the opponents'.
