I am a former League of Women Voters of Iowa President. We have been working on trying to get state legislators to file their fund raising reports electronically. We are part of a coalition that decided to work on this low level but important way to let the public have quicker access to information regarding campaign finance and money's influence in our state.
Of course, the LWVUS has been working on campaign finance for yeas and continues to lobby both as a national organization and through its individual members. We favor the McCain Feingold bill and do not accept 'other' versions.
