Boy, do these comments hit one nail on the head. The major problems are not technical but political and personsal. We found this out in our 20+ year struggle in Acton, MA with our Superfund site. Until we worked politically to elect "thinking & concerned" officials as Selectmen and Water District commissioners, we could not get the attention of local officials to respond to "our" public health concerns.
We also worked at the State level and often through our Federal office holders.
Do the same and remember, it is a long range fight. Your persistence and patience will payoff.
