  • X-topic: Introductions/Goals

My name is Stephen Bialkowski. I am a professor of chemistry at Utah State University. I teach and do research in teach environmental and analytical chemistry. My main expertise is in atmospheric chemistry. However my research is more recently in hydrology and transport in clays.

I have joined this discussion group with the hopes of learning more about the role that fundamental science plays in decisions regarding environmental issues. I would also like to present my insights into these processes whenever possible and/or needed to reach definite conclusions. My scientific interests span from the physical processes, data collection, statistical analysis, and toxicology.

Although I look forward to active participation, my main goals are to be able to communicate this information to undergraduate students who take environmental chemistry as an elective course and to help focus student groups working toward changing the environment.
