Greetings! My Introduction: I'm Bob Hill and am excited to be a part of this process. I am a recent transplant to GA where I work as a Professor of Adult Education in the areas of Public Policy and education for public affairs; social movement learning; and community/popular education. Previously I worked for 17 years with the Commonwealth of PA in a number of capacities including Public Outreach Coordinator (Environmental Protection), State Botanist, State Biodiversity Coordinator, and biologist for the Wetlands Education and Technical Assistance section. I have offered workshops on public participation and environmental decisionmaking here in the US and in Moscow, Russia. Goals for me for this on-line forum include to develop ways to enhance democratic participation, civic involvement, and to build authentic environmental citizenship where ordinary people in communities have an equal voice with the powerful and the privileged. I look forward to taking an electronic journey with folks during the next ten days.
