  • X-topic: Introductions/Goals

Hello, I am Ren Willis-Frances, with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. I am with the Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP), conducting program development for brownfields assistance. A recent statute requires VRP participants to submit community involvement plans with their work plans. Further, our Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund borrowers must comply with the National Contingency Plan (NCP) public involvement requirements.

My reason for participating in this dialogue is to gain ideas for drafting a state-level policy for meeting the statutory and NCP public involvement requirements. I expect I will mostly "lurk," except for asking questions to clarify some concepts. Thanks for providing this opportunity to learn, at such an opportune point in our policy-making.
