Applause, Applause! May I add that with the current need for preschools in launching a child's successful kindergarten experience, parent cooperative preschools under adult ed programs are incredibly successful and affordable! Second language learners are emersed in english and enter kindergarten proficient in both english and their native language, and the parents are encouraged to take advantage of the ESL classes. Family literacy becomes a reality. The parent education experience in these cooperatives trains tomorrows school leaders. They go on to be hallmark classroom volunteers and active PTA/Dad's club participants. And as we know, being involved in a child's learning experience is key to that child's success. Everyone is a winner!
