Re: CAMP Summary Day 5: Workforce Preparation and Business Linkages

I like the dialogue on accountability.  The focus on transition to job is 
good idea.  Yet I see two problems to overcome. One, the excesive 
focus/prestige alloted to the 1/3 who go off to college.  That has been and 
is the measure of a schools success.  Two, who gets hired is a complicated 
process.  How do you measure the success of a school that trains well for 
jobs that are not present in that town, I'm thinking of places like in the 
central valley where unemployment reaches 50%.  Still, the effort to change 
the focus, has to be better as long as we look at the actual world these 
students have to face and prepare them for that.
