Adding to the unemployment issue is the underemployment issue. My daughter is trying to raise 2 kids on her own in a Sacramento suburbia where rents 700+ for an apartment and she makes 11 dollars an hour. She barely has money for food and if she was not receiving a grant for her kids daycare she would not be able to live at all. The 10.00 an hour jobs of the future will not pay the rent of today. How do we get our future workers into a position where they can afford to live a reasonable lifestyle?
