The concept of team teaching and job sharing keeps coming up as a strategy for retaining teachers. In this context, doesn't this generate a demand to produce more qualified teachers than California would otherwise need if we retained the one teacher per class approach, particularly if applied to all teachers, not just new teachers? What kinds of things could the state do to attract larger numbers of prospective teachers such that this concept could be advanced?
