I am distressed by the word experimentation. Forgive me but experimentation should hold a very careful place in the classroom. My oldest daughter is a victim of the "Whole Language" experiment of about 10 years ago. All of her teachers agree that they did she and her classmates a grave disservice. I agree that these "Charter Schools", etc., have a place and deserve help but they also need to be held accountable. California's children do not need to be education guinea pigs.
