I agree with Ms. Jenkins on the use of experimentation in public education. The public has a right to expect the highest quality education. With input from well grounded research we should be able to insure that. Let the educational psychologists and theorists find other ways of obtaining their data prior to it being used on or children.
With regards to the the comment: "4) allow parents more ability to choose between different modes WITHIN THE PUBLIC SYSTEM", why shouldn't the parents have the options of private education - if that is shown to be the best for their students?
(No, I'm not in favor of vouchers either - I'm beginning to think the best thing is to scrap the Ed Code altogether and reconfigure our educational delivery to students!)
