I agree wholeheartedly. At the present time, my high school classes lose 6 days of school for STAR testing, another 6 for Golden State Exams, and another 6 for AP Testing. These same students also take SAT I and SAT II tests. Sometimes they also take competitive exams for AP Chemistry or physics such as the national "physics bowl". Each test has a purpose but all the purposes could be served with fewer, organized tests.
