Charlie's response

On the right are individuals, those who know that individuals are
to be free to choose their own destiny and welcome the responsibility
that goes with that freedom. The latter are often referred to as
. . . Americans.

So I guess anyone who believes in Social Security, a plan that is
keeping thousands of Americans off the street, is un-American.

<And to top it off, we will be vulnerable to invasion because of
our decreased defense budget. That will allow foreign Communists,
Socialist and Fascists a chance to finish us off. I certainly hope
that is not what you advocate.>

No I do not advocate dictatorships taking over America. However,
I think that you and I agree that the red menace has greatly
decreased in the last few years, justifying a cut in Nuclear arms
budgets or some similar program. I highly doubt that North Korea
will be sending its invading armies anytime soon, don't you? Anyway
isn't the military one of those terrible socialist government
programs? So I guess safeguarding ourselves from the hordes of
Cubans that are willing and able to to invade Florida at any moment,
is more important than keeping a system afloat that benefits every
American, without giving their money to those with enough, perhaps
even too much??

<Laying off and exploiting working people to make millions. Hmm,
let me see. How is that possible? What fool has attempted this
silly idea?>

When First Union Bank announced a major lay-off, its stock price
skyrocketed. This happens every time a company announces lay-offs.
Executives are paid in stock. You do the math.

Hey here's another idea, why don't we take some of the Billions in
corporate welfare dollars our government gives out every year......and
use some of it to save Social Security? It would kill 2 birds with
one stone, saving SS in 2034, and making for a more competitive
,dog-eat-dog capitalism that Marwan loves so much. Or is welfare
for the rich O.K. in your book?

BTW,J.P. will not be coming back, he's got other tasks to attend
to. Not me though, I ain't busy at all(smile).
