The information on this site is the same as is available through Mr.
Archer's homepage. Is there a place where the proposal is given in more
detail? I would like to know the following:
1. Are the Social Security Guarantee Accounts converted to a lifetime
annuity when you start to receive benefits or is there some formula for
assigning the how much of your benefit is to be paid by the SSGA?
2. Can SSGAs be inherited after starting to use them?
3. Who will set up and operate the 50 investment options? What will
their risk variability be?
4. What is the "lockbox" mechanism for Social Security Trust Funds? When
you say the rebates for SSGAs will be paid for out of the surplus, are
you refering to general fund surpluses? If not, explain how that squares
with the lockbox.
