GEN X doesn't want Social Security anyway

I'm a 22 year old recent college grad and I, like most of the people I talk to, just want out of Socialist Security altogether.

No one in my age group thinks that Social Security will be around for us anyway. Most of us would rather forfeit our benefits if we could just not have to pay into it. I have written my Congressman at least 3 times asking if there were any way I could just get out of Social Security--a system I certainly have never had the opportunity to vote on or choose in any way to belong to . . (i.e. taxation without being born yet)

The bottom line: If you want to try and save Social Security go ahead . . . feel free to redistribute wealth from rich to poor once again. BUT DON'T FORCE ME TO GIVE ALMS TO THE PEOPLE WHO COULDN'T SAVE FOR THEMSELVES!

All I know is that if I could invest the $200 plus I donate to Socialist Security a month over the next 43 years, then when I were 65 I would have over 1.5 MILLION dollars for my retirement (that my wife and children could actually keep if I die at 66). Forget tax credits or 10% cuts . . just let me out of the Socialist Security stake in my financial heart.
