Although Rep Thurman assures us that our Congressional members "want what's best for the people" this assurance falls on many deaf ears, of the voters, who have witnessed an uncontrolled spending and a historically reckless disregard for fiscal responsibility. With a National debt of 5.7 trillion dollars and a SS system that has nothing but IOU's to support needed revenue for SS shortfalls starting in 2013, this assurance is indeed a hollow replacement for those worthless IOU's.
