Opening remarks

Thanks Bob and Carolyn for your hard work making this discussion possible.
It is important for elected officials to have as many avenues to opinions as
possible--whether it's town hall meetings back in the district, meeting with
constituents or online discussions.  I look forward to an interesting
discussion among the participants as well as between the panelists.  As I
said in my position paper I believe that we can work together and get
something done this Congress and I will continue to work very hard toward
reaching this consensus.

Renaissance for their hard work in hosting this discussion
