RE: Charles Ponzi is rolling in his grave

In July 1776 in Philadelphia for the first time in the
history of the world a group of revoluntionaries proclaimed that
governments exist to ensure the right of the governed to life,
liberty, and "the pursuit of happiness".

Jefferson had examined very, very carefully the French claim that
governments are for the protection of the right to property.
After careful consideration he rejected the physiocratic view
that property, like life and liberty was one of the three
prime concerns of government, and he replaced it with his well
thought out conviction that protecting the pursuit of happiness
was one of the three strongest justifications for the existence
of government.

Whether or not Ponzi rolls in his grave is irrelavant to this
discussion.
