SS Survival

In 1983 FICA was increased for the purpose of insuring the longevity
of SS. These increases were phased in over a period of a few years.
The total debt to SS now standas at over 850 billion dollars. The
national debt stands at over 5 trillion dollars. Whe SS is going
to need supplements from this debt starting in around 2013 the
American people are once again going to be asked to take an increase
in taxes to accomplish the same thing they were asked to do in
1983. I think people have to understand that there is NO SS surplus!
It has been spent! And this talk about the SS fund being secured
until 2032 is nothing but smoke with no substance. The fact is,
since there is no money to redeem those worthless IOU's (government
bonds) the working publuic is going to have to redeem their own
loans through future tax increases. This has been a colossal rip
off by our goverment and careless use of taxpayers FICA contributions.
This is being compounded by misleading information about the supposed
viability of the surplus funds, which are non-existing! SS is NOT
viable until 2032 and to assure the American people to the contrary
is a lie!

The only viable option at this point is to place all surplus funds
in the private market where the American people will have at least
some chance of available funds, instead of worthless notes that
the American taxpayer will be forced to redeem.
