Representatives Nadler and Pomeroy both advance legislation that
would allow the government to indirectly invest in private
financial markets. Assuming this could feasibly occur without
the threat of actual interference with the private sector,
do the Republicans (plan to) decry these proposals as absolutely
unacceptable, ideologically speaking? Will this be a
feature of the debates? And do each of you personally feel
that Pomeroy is correct in asserting that adaquate safefuards can
ensure against innapropriate influence from government investments?
