To address the people that feel that the campaign finance reform is being too narrowly focused, I must agree. I feel that many other avenues must be persued, such as limiting the power of lobbyists and their influential money. I do feel that the campaign finance reform movement is a step in the right direction. The basic rules of campaining that must be followed now date back to 1971, which means they are in great need of updating. If this campaign finance reform act that is currently being debated in Congress passes, it will need to be ammended and updated later, but like I said before, I believe it is a step in the right direction.
