  • X-topic: Choice 2

To be honest, I don't really know too much about campaign financing or what the problems are, although I'm somewhat familiar with the briefing book. Most of what concerns me, though, is that threat of lobby groups who run in, toss money at a candidate, and get favors in return. I don't like that idea. I don't know if it's been happening, but I don't like the possibility of it happening.

I think I might be a supporter of Choice 2... just because lobbyists are my main concern. If I'm wrong in thinking that lobby groups can be as evil as I imagine, I'd like someone to tell me so that I don't walk around misinformed.

One thing that I'd like to say on the topic of lobby groups, though, is where do we draw the line between special-interest groups, lobbyists, and corporations with ulterior motives? Officially, there is a difference, but when it comes to financing and what money sways whom... is there a difference?
