On the issue of lobbying, I think in some cases they have too much influence. My uncle has been a lobbyist in the Virginia General Assembly and I know he's been involved heavily in trying to influence the represenatatives. I don't know a whole lot about lobbying, but from what I gather, it can be too influential in swaying the minds of politicians toward a small group rather than what the people want. Maybe limitations on money to lobbyist groups would be a good thing.
