Yes, I favor public financing of campaigns. A great deal of education,beginning in the elementary grades, would be necessary to change the "What's in it for ME?" attitude prevalent in our culture to one that supports "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?" But what a difference that change of attitude could make in our personal, political an economic priorities.

Problem: Economically disadvantageds would still be left out of the loop because they would not be taxed-- who would represent them? How would their needs be heard?
