Good points. I also feel that we've got the systems that we've created for ourselves and likewise the behavior(s) we've created fit well within those systems. If most of us are acting in self interest only with only returns to self/immediate family a priority than most of our work will reflect that. Simple, but it bears out when you look at how politics reflects life in many of our communities?
I know how hard politicians/activists work towards their ideals and how frustrated and alienated they feel when little is accomplished or changed. Does this beg the question that we need to look at our basic lifestyles, technology, and daily choices to see if they keep us from becoming more involved or democratic?
I don't know why this discussion seems to be going in more of a philosophical direction when the original question deals with finance reform?
