I have sent several messages through about LOCAL government. Conservation districts are local and work with local landowners and landusers. We want more LOCAL involvement. It doesn't seem appropriate for those 'on high' to be dictating to ag and producers what and how they should farm and/or sustain their land practices. The USDA NRCS are the experts in this field and we work very closely with them. EPA in California allowed us to have an AG liaison and it was very sucessful in bridging a dialogue between the federal presence and the local needs and issues.
