  • X-topic: Outreach

I work in a situation that I need to provide clear and concise information to educators and youth. If I do not interpret the information correctly or if our staff does not get the information correctly, then the public receives misinformation. We provide educational information on natural resources of the Gulf of Mexico and it is our goal to stay abreast of the current issues that involve the economy and conservation. We reach a significant amount of schools in the area, we have an opportunity to provide relavent local environmental information. Yes, there is an number of people that do not have acess to the computer, but we do, and we reach a lot of people with our acess to current information. We reach very rural areas, and we take a role in informing the educators and youth about the current issues and how to gain acess to more information. That's why you need educators as a viable resource link outreach to filter information on issues and current events.
