Karsten's comments on the difficulty of getting stakeholders involved are right on and hopefully will be addressed further in later discussions. Frequently the issues are very technical and we at EPA don't always find ways to convey information so that people understand the relevance to them (without using scare tactics or false promises). Other commenters have talked about the importance of providing more than just access to information but information in a form that stakeholders/agency customers need and can use and others have talked about EPA's obligation to find ways to educate stakeholders/customers about technical issues and data. I hope to hear more about these in future discussions.
