  • X-topic: Introductions/Goals

I am an environmental planning & communications consultant with close to 20 years experience. I am also the Vice President and owner of a company of 40 staff with offices in San Francisco and Sacramento, California and Washington D.C. I have been working on projects for and with the EPA for many years and my colleague and husband Charles Gardiner has had years of working with the EPA on Superfund Projects. I have had experience with EPA as part of many of my water and transportation projects and on several hazardous waste projects including Hamilton Air Force Base Closure in Northern California.

As I read through the goals, my greatest concern is that they are too long and redundant. I believe that the greatest challenge for us and the EPA is to be crisp, clear and succinct. I believe that in trying to be all things to all stakeholders that we have lost the power and effectiveness of communication.
