Hello Little Earth,

It goes without saying that automobile and commuter-related health and environmental problems are a very important issue. One cannot speak of this subject without bringing up the problem of urban sprawl. I agree with you that if people worked and lived closer to together than this could be part of the answer to these problems. In addition to this factor, we need to address efficient public transportation (which does not exist in many communities including mine in El Paso, Texas "the seventh most polluted city in the US"), wages (some people commute to higher paying jobs), and community input (or lack there of). I certainly would ove to see a society based on pedestrian living, however I think that we need to address these other issues in order to make a shift towards this type of living. Any other input?

-Claudia
