Hi,
My name is Dennis Paige, but you can call me Little Earth. I am a professional environmental educator (M.S. & M.A.T.) involved in several professional activities directed to educating the public both young and old to a healthier, sustainable planet. I work as an education specialist at a local wildlife sanctuary, serve as a chief landscaper where I am natural landscaping a condominium into a native prairie and woodland plant community, perform as a school district site director for an ecology adventure camp. During the colder seasons, I lecture to high schools and colleges about developing a lifestyle that is connected to a healthier, more sustainable planetary future, perform ecology based, Native American storytelling programs to interested parties, and present talks on Native Landscaping on Home Owner's Associations land.
I have served on a U.S. EPA committee to explore ways to encourage native/natural landscaping in the greater Chicagoland area. I think horizontally not vertically so I am interested in what every one has to say about creating a dialogue that gets people to reconnect with the value of environmental education.
I live a pedestrian lifestyle, working and residing a short bike distance away from each other. The area where I live really provides most of my needs (library, food store, cafes, art institute, farmer's market, historic pub, fancy diners, a beautiful garden plaza, and an amphitheater for seasonal entertainment.I am very lucky.
