  • X-topic: Introductions/Goals

CAlifornians for Renewable Energy, Inc. (CARE) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the advancement of renewable technology as the most environmentally friendly solution to California's Energy Crises. CARE provides assistance to low-income communities and communities of color threatened by sky rocketing electricity bills and the expedited siting and construction of gas fired power plants in their communities.

CARE has prepared or filed 3 EAB appeals, and 2 Office of Civil Rights complaints to USEPA on new plants sited in communities of color. CARE also has a complaint pending with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for the Energy Crises filed last year before the crises began.

Our primary goal for participation is to improve and provide for meaningful and informed participation in the consideration and approval of EPA PSD and Title V permits for new generation in California.
