RE: Adult Education Recommendation 38

Please pay close attention to Alan Bernstein's comment (archived Wed, 12 June 07:05):  "With absolutely no analysis or data to support it, Recommendation 38 proposes a major shift in governing responsibility to the community college system.  .....The "quick fix" proposed by Recommendatin 38 will create more problems than it solves, and is unworthy of the important issue it seeks to resolve."  He includes a revised Recommendation 38.

This is succinctly stated--give this vital education component worthy attention.  Over 2.4 million adult students utilize the adult education system in this state annually.
