  • Topic: Background

The purpose of education is to give children the highest academic preparation possible. This will look different in each segment of a child's educational career - K-3, 4-6, 7-9,10-12. It will begin to look different for each child more and more as they progress from K-3 to 12. Every child deserves to acquire skills and knowledge. Every child must be taught to think and problem solve. Each child must receive a high quality creative/fine arts education. Every child should have access to a foreign language education. Every child should be given a solid foundation in the development of moral character and be prepared to participate in their government. At some point each child should be allowed to make a decision to continue following a rigorous academic track or to pursue a quality vocation track that will ensure a good place in the workforce after graduation.
